When you own a home, rental, or business, there is always a list of things you want to fix, improve, or create. We offer the ability to tackle both general carpentry, finish carpentry AND interior/exterior painting needs.

We aren’t a handyman service or a big renovation company. Instead, our niche is focused on projects that don’t require a bunch of sub-contractors and moving out of your space. Our carpenters build and install. Then our painters complete the prep, painting, and staining.

My thanks to Portland Build & Paint for their superb execution of a four-color Benjamin Moore paint scheme on my house and detached garage. The smoothly applied soft-luster Greyhound body color was balanced by meticulously tight edges and seams for all the trim and accents. Thanks as well to Curtis, the lead painter and maestro who kept a team of five in sync for a week. Owner Steve had a weather eye about the optimal level of carpentry and prep work needed and submitted a bid that was fair for the Portland market. Needless to say, highly recommended!

From the initial bid and ongoing communication regarding the job, to the final spraying day on our painting project, these folks were top notch!  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We called 3 local companies, Dina was the first point of contact she's professional, straight to it and great over the phone. All prices were within $200. We wanted to get it done before a 2 week time frame for various reasons. We already had paint - Steve who did walk through - turned out to be the owner, coached me on the type of paint we had vs. what was needed for a small portion - we had to purchase a little more which didn't effect the cost much. The quote was given later that day. Decision reached and appointment scheduled very quickly.
The quality of work is top notch - from first meeting, set up, tare down, Curtis & Uriel were pleasant, kind, professional and good communicators. I stopped looking for a mistake in the paint job - photo attached.
The only other thing to say is that we invited Steve back over to review 3 more jobs that we have pending on the house.

I bought a 3000 SF new home and hired Steve and crew to paint every single interior color in the house. He came VERY highly recommended by the Miller Paint store manager, for good reason. His carpenter replaced my pantry door with a beautiful barn door, and he sent a crew of 6 to paint. They finished in 3 days and let me tell you, it is BEAuTIFUL! Every single crew member was so pleasant, polite and professional. Curtis, the lead, was excellent. It was perfect. Next I will have the exterior painted and I know just who to call!

They came highly recommended by my interior designers (Wise Design), and I was impressed right away by how quickly they responded to my inquiry and scheduled a bid. The communication from day one was excellent!

They painted the entire interior of my home, and I absolutely love the results. It completely transformed my house. Working with the owner, Steve, was a highlight. He was kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through the process and answer my questions. The team working in my home was just as great. Painting can be very invasive, but they were professional, trustworthy, on time every day, and incredibly respectful of my space.

Their attention to detail really stood out. They checked in regularly, cared about my feedback, and made any adjustments immediately. I always felt valued and comfortable throughout the project.
