STEVE RICE, General contractor
Steve has been involved with painting and carpentry for his entire adult life. He started painting for his uncle's commercial painting company at age 17. When his dad began a residential painting and contracting company in his hometown of St Louis, Steve was his first employee, painting historic homes during and after college. With degrees in communications, Steve spent 15 years in Portland working as a project director in education-related non-profits while continuing to follow his passion and true love - building and painting. After rehabbing an old 1899 home, which included adding an ADU, he made the move into general contracting in 2016.
With his diverse skill-set and background, Steve naturally sees the bigger picture and combines a sense for design, aesthetics, and color theory with excellent communication, customer service, active listening, and project management skills. He builds and paints structures with Northwest conditions in mind.
